Unprecedented Times

Feeling anxious, angry, maybe even depressed? What you are going through is completely normal. In fact, what you are feeling is common in just about most Americans at this time (some people just have a better way of hiding it). The truth is that the Covid-19 pandemic is pushing Americans into a mental health crisis.

Three months into the coronavirus pandemic, the country is on the verge of another health crisis, with daily doses of death, isolation and fear generating widespread psychological trauma. According to statistics, nearly half of Americans report the coronavirus crisis is harming their mental health causing emotional distress.

Maybe you lost a family member from this, maybe you lost your job and are worried about how you’re going to pay the bills, maybe you feel that you lost your sense of freedom from being locked down on quarantine. All in all, there is a lot to be said about the “new normal” where we are grieving all that we have lost during this time.
